If this is your first blog, I’m MissBrenda and I’m your virtual tourguide to 3DWebworldz. Most weeks I’ve been sharing my explorations. In the spirit of trying to make things as easy as possible, this week I’m going to show you how to get started.
The first step is to go to www.3DWebWorldz.com
That will take you to the intro screen. One cool thing about the site is each of the regions also exist as a 2nd site that can be used solo if you don’t want to interact with people or are having computer resource issues. We try to make the 3D areas as resource friendly as possible but sometimes you need to go lite.
From the intro screen you can register for a FREE account. The screenshot shows all you need to enter. No credit card, no address. Just email, choose your username and password and you’re done. If you don’t want to do that, you can sign in as a guest. Just type in the name you want to be called and you’re in. Easy Peazy!
This is the next screen for guests. If you register you will be taken to your closet first where you can customize your avatar. But the rest of the info that follows is the same. Oh, the region guests automatically go into, unless you have an event link, is the Orientation.
If you don’t have a direct event link, click the calendar on the top toolbar to see what’s going on. Current events may also show up in the announcements. Purple banner on the left. The next screenshot also shows the toolbar buttons you will use most.
3DWebWorldz is a social place so it’s nice to see who’s online when you are and where they are. The next screenshot shows how to do that.
See, not hard at all. There is so much more that you can do. I just wanted to make you feel comfortable getting started. Feel free to come in and look around. Everyone that I have met has been friendly and helpful. If you get in and can’t figure out how to do what you want, just ask. We all started sometime so don’t worry if you are sitting on the table instead of the chair or walking in circles. You’ll figure it out quickly and then can help the next newbie to feel welcome.
